Coaches and Managers

Information for all Coaches and Managers for the 2014 Season

GROUND SET UP AND PULL DOWN

If your team is the first to play on a field at South Park then it is expected that your team will set it up for play. This includes putting up posts (for mini and junior configurations), nets, setting out corner and half-way flags, and placing benches for coaches and reserves.

If your team is the last to play on a field at South Park then it is expected that your team will pull down and pack away club equipment - posts (movable), nets, flags, and seating need to be returned to the CNFC equipment store and dressing sheds for secure storage.

TRAINING DATES, TIMES AND LOCATIONS

CNFC will use both South Park and Childs Park for training.

South Park will only be used for training by mini, small sided game, and junior teams (U6 to U16). Senior teams (U17 and up) will use Childs Park.

Competition can be fierce for training space, especially at South Park so coaches and managers are asked to advise the club President, Brandon Punter,  of where and when they intend to train their teams as soon as possible.

CNFC GENERAL MEETINGS

All teams must be represented by a coach or manager.  Meetings will generally be held on the second Wednesday of the month.

WET WEATHER

In wet weather always assume your game is on unless you have confirmed that it has been cancelled.

To check if your game is still on call the SDSFA wet weather line 9892 1962 after 7.30am on Saturday or Sunday. Do not call before that time
.

A few points to remember:

1.       There are two councils involved, Liverpool & Fairfield, & the situation can arise where one council closes its grounds & the other doesn’t.

2.       Whilst a club may leave their ground open for play the referees have discretion to not allow play to proceed if a ground is deemed unsafe.

3.       If a ground is initially open and weather conditions worsen during the day a club my subsequently close the ground for later matches
Unless councils close all grounds it is up to the individual club committees to determine if their home ground is playable & advise the Association if it is not playable (from a club perspective, other than South Park, the CNFC committee will not know what grounds have been closed).

RESULTS

Please ensure you notify the club of your team's match score by sending an SMS to the CNFC Assistant Registrar, Chris Whitehall, on 0434 194 022.
